I live in Nijmegen, a university city (160.000 inhabitants) in the middle east of the Netherlands, near the German border.
Who am I and what can I do for you?
:::Me technically:::
For years my music was band band orientated, electronics played an important role from start.
More or less divergent styles like reggae, afro pop and salsa, all with a
high trance level, kept me going on between 1978 and 1990.
I started home taping round 1982 and learned recording the hard way.
Ever recorded on a double speed 4 track cass.tape mixerrecorder with
MTC sinc? :D
During the late 80's electronic dance music manifested itselve in the Netherlands.
Meat Beat Manifesto inspired me with a legendary show in Club Doornroosje in 1989. It brought me to the computer (Atari of course).
For several years my good old Atari served me well, but -inevitably- an Apple Macintosh computer replaced it with real power.
Nowadays my Apple is the centre of an efficient audio studio, where anything is possible!
Personally I think that the classic concept of rock and roll bands, which we have seen over the past 50 years, is limited as a means of expression.
I see rock and roll as a historical phenomenon. A music style and an attitude of the past.
The modern dance music of the late 80's was my ultimate
rescue. Old concepts of song structuring were swept aside so easily, and my music became an adventure once more.
I like to mention here electroband Ulanbator, and Inside the Secret. This lead to various record releases, on labels as Basic Beats, Road Runner, Ninja Tune and First Impression.
Electronic music gives me freedom to move in any direction.
And freedom is what it's all about :-)
This freedom is the perfect startingpoint for composing for film, video or theatre as well as straight dance music :-)
:::What can i do for you?:::
First and foremost I'm a musicion (surprise!), producing dance orientated songs, alone or together with friends in music like dj's.
Every offer for a release or a publisher is most welcome.
Check out my EZ grooving dance songs in the EZdance department on this site.
EZSound is also a kind of post production audio studio, producing sound tracks by order.
This means I don't record anything life, except for 'single' vocals or
voices, and some special sound effects, if needed.
A nice Rode NTK large diaphragm tube condenser microphone does the trick here.
Another thing is, I don't 'play' keyboard, horn, triangle or even mouth
harp, so you can't ask me to make a karaoke version of the next song ;-)
What I do is:

sound editing: cleaning up your recordings, adding an ambience,
(re)mastering songs, copy vinyl to CD, compose a special mixed CD, etc.

sound creation: (like music) for video productions, sound editing of
possible withcoming audio tracks, mixing them together into a reasonable soundtrack.

Creating sound, music and ambience: specially made for aimed
theatre productions, speech performances, expos, commercials if we like them, animation films, fashion shows, you name it.

I really like it to take the client's point of view. After all it's you, the client, who has to be satisfied with the results. I try to add specific details which link directly to you.
If this works out fine it already makes me happy :-)
On the other hand I like to stay close to my music style and preferences, which is electronic music with an easy groove.
If this part also works out as I want it to, I consider the job done.
At least that's how I see it :-)
It's this combination of both my empathy towards the client as well as my own musical stubbornness which brings the best output.
